About Lance

Pushing himself to perform at a high level is something Lance has been doing for as long as he can remember.

Born in Oklahoma City, Lance played a variety of sports growing up.

Excelling on the field and in the classroom during high school, Lance received both athletic and academic scholarships, and after his fourth year playing soccer at Missouri State University, he signed his first professional contract with Chivas USA in Los Angeles.

During his first year in L.A., Lance was approached by an acting coach who thought he had “the look” to be a successful model, and so during the off-seasons throughout his soccer career, Lance would spend his time modeling in L.A., Miami, and New York City.

Lance quickly found out that there was a big difference in the way he needed to exercise and eat to successfully maintain his two different careers. He remembers, “While playing soccer, I could eat almost anything I wanted since my priority was to have more muscle mass that helped me be strong and explosive. During the offseason, however, I would have to lose 15 pounds and really watch what I ate in order to have those 6-pack abs show.”

Throughout his 7-year professional soccer career, Lance continued to experiment with his training and nutrition strategies to learn how to optimize both his athletic performance and aesthetics. When retiring, he knew he wanted to take his knowledge in both subject matters even deeper so he could coach and help others. This drive is what led him to become a Certified Nutrition Coach and Certified Personal Trainer. He has since been certified by multiple other nutrition and fitness companies including Precision Nutrition, EXOS, and the USSF, to name a few.

Lance also specializes in Cardio-Respiratory Metabolic testing and analysis, allowing him to dial in his athletes exact training zones and prescribe nutrition recommendations and training protocols that are specific to addressing that individual’s limiting factors.

In addition to being a nutritionist and coach to numerous high-performance individuals from many walks of life, Lance enjoys spending time outdoors and pushing his body and mind to his limits with ultra endurance racing. But what makes him unique in the world of health and fitness is the data-driven and problem-solving mindset he brings to what he does.

My wife and I wanted to work with Lance for a number of reasons. Primarily we wanted to improve our near term marathon performance and long term develop sustainable nutrition habits. I had also lost around 15 pounds from several months of work-related all-nighters. I was not eating enough during this time and had lost muscle. My wife on the other hand wanted to reduce body fat, increase strength and become a faster runner. Lance’s expertise in sports nutrition and performance was extremely valuable and backed by real data and science which allowed my wife and I to truly believe in his tailored plans and quickly implement them. We really enjoyed working with Lance and the plans have worked out very well for us: I have gained 10 lbs of muscle and my wife has dropped down to 15% body fat, and at the same time our running performance has drastically improved. Before purchasing the program and working with Lance, I was on a cycle of dieting, losing weight and gaining it all back within a few months. I did not have accurate knowledge of nutrition and how the body functioned when it came to losing weight and keeping it off.  I was in my last semester of college and I was going to begin a student teaching internship shortly, but once again, I made the decision to lose weight. I set a goal to lose 25llbs in 3 months. However, this time, I did not just want to lose weight; I wanted to change my lifestyle completely.  The program required a great deal of patience and dedication, but it held me accountable for my actions. As a result of logging in the foods I was consuming and my daily physical activity, I was able to keep track of the steps I was taking towards reaching my goal. In addition to this, Lance was consistent with checking in on me and my progress, and his guidance, support and enthusiasm kept me feeling motivated and empowered. Lance has been incredible since day 1 of my health and wellness journey.
